NEW WEBSITE LAUNCHES DAYLIGHT DOCUMENT
NARM (The National Association of Rooflight Manufacturers) has launched a new website www.narm.org.uk as part of a marketing thrust to promote the work of the Association and increase
its Membership base.
The NARM Technical Committee, led by Chairman Bill Hawker, has
been very active in producing some highly valued industry research
and development documents and the new website will be an ideal vehicle for specifiers and visitors to access these. The site offers visitors the opportunity to view extracts from documents published
by the Association including their definitive new document ?Natural Daylight Design Through Rooflighting?.

Newly appointed Chairman, Vince Cranmer adds, ?Our practical aim is to make NARM the first port of call for information on rooflights and daylighting, whether its to source a rooflight manufacturer, access daylighting and rooflight information, or request technical help. NARM aims to provide authoritative, unbiased factual advice and information on all aspects of natural daylight using rooflights, for all applications from small individual modular rooflights, to completely glazed architectural structures.?
Since NARMs inception it has been proactive in steering the Association towards its objectives of raising awareness of the benefits of bringing natural daylight into a building. The Association represents the rooflight industry throughout Europe, working with all relevant authorities in development of product standards, regulations on major issues such as safety, fire and building regulations, and has published a number of acclaimed technical papers. Specifiers will benefit from the advice and information that NARM can provide, and should value NARM membership as a benchmark for selecting a rooflight manufacturer.
Current membership of the Association is representative of the industry, including major manufacturers across a wide range of products and services, as well as smaller manufacturers also having an excellent product range. The Association would like to see a continued growth in members to attract as wide a diversity of membership as possible.
Chairman of the Marketing Committee, Jim Lowther, adds ?In a rapidly changing market we view our new site as a portal for visitors to access the latest daylighting and rooflight information, signposting to other trade bodies and associations and to act as a forum for rooflight manufacturers, working groups and specifiers. Anyone involved with or interested in bringing daylight into buildings should add this website to their Favourites list?.
