Healthy children
With media coverage focussing recently on improving childrens health through sensible diet, the effect of daylight is another contributory factor in improving health and well being. Research has shown that daylight has physiological and psychological benefits for teachers and students including less dental decay, improved eyesight, increased growth and improved immune system. Natural lighting also eliminates noise, flickering from electric light sources and provides the best quality of light available in classrooms, gymnasiums and corridors. Our role is to promote to schools the benefits that integrating and managing daylight properly brings to their students.
?The advantages of the natural light are the quietness, the softness and the calmness I get when I am in the classroom. I can work better and think better because it is more natural and I feel comfortable.? Student
